35 out of 37 AIDS patients who had taken “Tsu” in Tanzania have recovered from opportunistic diseases such as malaria, dermatosis, and so on; “Tsu” had run out halfway for those two people. HIV/AIDS SITUATION (Report from the chief of Sukuma)

1.Background

HIV/AIDS epidemic has been a major public health problem in Tanzania for the past 24 years and its prevalence remain high. First three AIDS cases were reported in 1983 in Kagera region. By 1986 all region in Tanzania mainland had reported AIDS cases. Most AIDS cases fall within the age group 20 – 49 years with highest number reported cases in the age group of 25 – 34 and 30 – 39 for females and males respectively. The main mode of HIV transmission in Tanzania is heterosexual, accounting for 78% of all reported cases and mother to child transmission ranked second contributing 5% of cases. MATUNGE Herbalist Clinic had to join hands with the government of Tanzania in effort to combat HIV/AIDS, so far has conducted researches with the Ministry of Defense through its Lugalo Military Hospital. The research was successful though there were some financial constraints. However in October 2007, a Japanese Professor Yamada Kouei, with a specialty in love and truth visited Tanzania, and showed interest in cooperating with the organization in assisting the centre with medicine supplies, such as TUSYU. The research was conducted for about three months, from October 2007 to January2008.

2.METHODOLOGY

Thirty five patients were identified for the programme. These people were from the lower class because we thought it was such rare opportunity for the people of the cadre to access the service.

3.RESULT

Nine of the patients had finished using their doses. We first submit the reports on five patients. Patients using TSU have shown tremendous recovery after a very short time. Research done shows that within short time, immune system had increased rapidly and opportunistic diseases easily cured.

4.RECOMMENDATION

The drug is seemingly effective only its storage is found difficult to patients in the rural and some urban areas where there is no electricity. We therefore suggest that the medicine to retain its potency, we must identify centres for treatment whereby solar technology refrigerators must be made available. Transport means must also be considered. Supplying of TSU freely must be reviewed as we are now gearing for business. Some of the patients using TSU t are able to give testimony of even in the media. People suffering from HIV/AIDS are now seeing TSU as their emancipator.
